The Waunakee Baseball Boosters help organize and run a Summer Baseball program for our Waunakee High School Baseball players. Families and players can expect a season consisting of 4 tournaments, 1-2 team practices per week, and the opportunity to play multiple midweek games against other schools in Dane County. Each team will be run/managed by a paid coach whose goal is to teach the game to help grow and develop our baseball players.
The Summer Baseball programs allows our Waunakee HS athletes to continue to build bonds with their teammates while still being tested in the competitive travel ball circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I sign my athlete up for Waunakee Summer Baseball? Teams that perform the best on the field, are the teams that are the closest off the field. Our goal is to see our Waunakee baseball players act as brothers - push each other to be better, learn to understand each others strengths and weaknessess and support one another through development. Playing baseball together in the summer is a great opportunity to strengthen bonds and grow new relationships.
Can my athlete play for a different Summer Organization (GRB, SS, Beast) and still play mid-week games? Teammates are always encouraged to show up to support other teammates, but playing time will be given to those who have committed to playing summer baseball for Waunakee.
Can my athlete play for a different Summer Organization and still attend Waunakee practices during the summer? Absolutely - We want our baseball players to be around each other as much as possible.
Can my athlete act as a substitute for the teams? This is not ideal. In years past, we needed to recruit some substitutes as our roster numbers were low and summer vacation season was in full swing. In 2027, our goal is to not need substitutes to fill our teams.
What if my position within the Waunakee HS baseball program changes in the spring, can I still play in the summer? Yes - If you sign up for Waunakee Summer Baseball, you are entitled to your roster spot in the summer regardless of your standing with the Waunakee HS program.
Are there evaluations for the summer teams? Rosters will be decided on (A) Spring season performance, (B) Grade, & (C) Current roster sizes
