GRB - Road Warriors 

Dear Waunakee Baseball Community,

We are writing today with exciting news. The Waunakee Road Warriors baseball program is partnering with GRB Baseball Academy to continue providing high level baseball development opportunities to Waunakee youth baseball players! The partnership will provide Waunakee Road Warriors teams with priority access to GRB’s state-of-the-art baseball training facilities, elite athletic training via Total Athletic Performance, and all the training and logistical resources available to existing GRB teams. This is the first partnership of its kind in the greater Madison area – a testament to the outstanding reputation of Waunakee Road Warriors baseball for competitiveness and player development. This partnership will combine the best parts of our Waunakee Road Warriors baseball community with the outstanding resources and expertise at GRB Academy.

As you may know, Waunakee Road Warriors baseball began as a competitive travel baseball program in 2020, with the goal of developing the top baseball players in the Waunakee community into elite baseball players. Road Warriors teams have competed in top level baseball tournaments around the Midwest, prioritizing advanced player development while encouraging players to participate at a high level in multiple sports. Over the past 6 years, the Road Warriors baseball program has become one of the most competitive community-based travel baseball programs in Wisconsin. Our new partnership with GRB Academy will allow Road Warriors baseball to maintain its founding principles and will provide resources for even more advanced development of youth baseball players in Waunakee.  

Tryouts for 2027 GRB-Road Warriors teams will occur on July 20th (11U/12U) and July 22rd (13U/14U), with Waunakee High School coaches and alumni continuing to serve as evaluators.
